Writing
I've reported on severe mine subsidence in southern Illinois and domestic violence prevention in Missouri's capital. I've covered breaking news, media censorship and even the World Horseshoe Championship. Working across platforms in a variety of newsrooms has taught me an important lesson: the best writers are always the ones who can adapt. In the last three years, I've written for newspapers, magazines, special sections, wire services and even public broadcasters. With each assignment, I've strengthened my voice and solidified who I am as a writer.
