I believe in the profession of journalism. I'm in this business because I want to tell stories that make a difference. I've covered severe mine subsidence in southern Illinois and domestic violence prevention in Missouri's capital.
But journalism isn't always about breaking the big story. It's also about getting people the news they need for their lives. That means delivering the news the way the audience wants it. I'm a true multi-platform journalist that can tell a story for print, broadcast or online. I'm familiar with social media and able to report a story continuously from beginning to end. And when it's time to go live, I can do that, too.
My interest in journalism has taken me across the world, from Columbia, Missouri, to Beijing, China, and London, England. I love to explore new places and meet new people. I'm a fast learner that can adapt my skills for any newsroom.
